How To Get Games

Step 1: Navigate to assignrefs.com

Step 2: If you do not have an account already, sign up! Make sure your contact information is accurate because we will use that information to contact you about game changes.

Step 3: Once you are finished with the contact information, you will be able to join queues. When logged in, you should see a button called “My Ref Queues” click on that. (NOTE: You will NOT see anything Ref Assignor related. You will only see the “Referee” tab.)

Step 4: Click on the green button that says “Join Queue.'“

Step 5: From the list of queues on screen, select “Imperium Officials Kevin Cathelyn”

Step 6: You will see both of our queues. IO Club & Travel and IO Rec Soccer. If you are USSF Certified, you will be able to join both queues. If you are not USSF Certified, you will only be able to join “IO Rec Soccer” until you are certified. Click on the queue you want to join and click “Add me to this Queue”

Step 7: Once you join, you will be listed as “Pending” until we go in and set you to “Active” which will usually take no more than an hour as we get notified when you join the queue. Once you are notified you are active, you will now be able to go in and self-assign games. You can do this by clicking “My Ref Games” then “Upcoming.” Click on the game that you would like to work and click on “Assign” next to the position you desire. (NOTE: You will see red whistles under spots that are not assigned yet. Those will be positions you can take. I am just using this game as an example.)

Pro Tips:

  • The filter field will be your best friend. You can use the filter to search for the locations you want to work at. For example, if I want to work at Dynamo, simple type “Dynamo” in the box and all games at Dynamo will populate! You can even use it to filter by date. Please use the format you see on the website. (ex. 07/20, will populate all games on that date.)

  • You are able to drop games on the website more than 4 days from the day your game is. If you have to drop a game and you are within that 4 day window, you will need to contact Kevin, Larry, or Kyle. Texting or calling us is preferred. Make sure you leave your name as well!

  • Play around with the website and get familiar with it. I promise it is not too complicated :)
